DEAD SCHEMBECHLERS RETURN

Is that guy singing Lou Brutus or not? The question was posed again by football fans and sports media from coast to coast as legedary Ohio State Buckeyes-loving, University of Michigan-hating punk quartet, Dead Schembechlers, returned to the concert stage after a four year absence.

The concert, at hallowed punk rock venue Ace of Cups on High Street in Columbus OH, was sold out nearly a week ahead of time. The band tore thru a ninety minute set, mixing classics like “Bomb Ann Arbor Now” with new material such as “Brady Hoke is A Big Fat Fuck.”

Check out the band on NBC here. An interview by Nuber on Columbus rock station The Blitz with singer Bo Biafra is here. An article in the Detroit Free Press on Lou, errr, we mean Bo’s bounty for Bucks players to feed Michigan coach Brady Hoke donuts onfield is here.

Thanks to Rob Fortenberry Photography for the images. Hit the band’s site, Facebook and Twitter.

PREPARE FOR HELL

Even acting as host at Knotfest wasn’t enough for LB of his favorite band, so he’s mades the rounds at various stops around the country on the Prepare for Hell Tour featuring Slipknot, KoRn and King 810.

Lou has posted dozens of shots from backstage and onstage via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. He also had a portrait shot done with the band in Baltimore MD by Rob Fortenberry Photography. You can see a few small examples below. However, we urge you to follow Brutus on his socials for lots more!

2014 KNOTFEST

It was an incredible weekend of rock as Slipknot, Lou’s favorite band, returned to the concert stage with a vengeance and over 50,000 fans in tow for Knotfest in San Bernardino, CA.

The trip was insane for LB as he interviewed dozens of artists backstage including Slipknot, Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat, In This Moment, Nothing More, Otep, Miss May I, Killswitch Engage, Avatar, HellYeah and many others. He was also honored to be onstage announcer and host of the world wide webcast, seen by millions of Maggots around the planet.

While backstage, Lou was also guest on the Roadrunner Records podcast with Mark Abramson. You can give it a listen here. We expect LB to guest again on it early in 2015.

Brutus extends his sincere thanks to Slipknot, 5B Management, Roadrunner Records, John Reese and the crew at GTV. Massive props also go to Rob Fortenberry Photography for shadowing Lou throughout the event and getting incredible images!
