Brutus has been an avid photographer for close to two decades and more of his shots are finding their way into the public eye. Shaman’s Harvest and Tom Petersson of Cheap Trick are the latest to be using his pics for official purposes.
Q102 in Springfield MO, which airs hardDriveXL with Lou Brutus every weeknight, recently raised several hundred dollars for wounded police officer Aaron Pearson with photos donated by LB. The pics were of Halestorm, Cheap Trick, and Jackyl. Each was autographed by the band members and plate signed by Lou.
Finally, it appears Brutus will be back for his ninth consecutive season as an onfield Major League Baseball photographer. Look for images beginning Opening Day!
It’s a return to the legendary ROCK FEST in Cadott WI for Lou Brutus! He’s been invited to once again host the main stage, July 16th thru the 19th.
The lineup this year includes Avenged Sevenfold, Shinedown, Judas Priest, Chevelle, Breaking Benjamin, Bush, Hinder, Killswitch Engage, Pop Evil, All That Remains, Finger Eleven, Adelitas Way, Black Stone Cherry, Jackyl, Nothing More, Starset, Islander, Nickelback Shamans Harvest, New Medicine, Coldspell, Bobaflex, Royal Bliss, Otherwise and many others. Congratulations to Lou Brutus for repeating as Best Nationally Syndicated Radio Host at the Radio Contraband Rock Radio Awards in Las Vegas NV on Saturday January 30th 2015.
Lou was again Master of Cermonies for the ceremony, held at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay. He opened the show by performing a blues number, backed on guitar by Dameon Aranda of Aranda, entitled “The Radio Contraband Las Vegas Blues,” a somewhat filthy look at the current state of the radio and recording industries.
Brutus thanked his listeners, radio brethren and Darla the Wonder Dog for the support in besting the other nominees which included Nikki Sixx, Full Metal Jackie, The Chop Shop and Skratch N’ Sniff.
