A tip of the cap also goes to the many radio, record, management and crew folks who treated me like gold. Props as well to the HardDrive Radio crew for the boots on the ground. Finally, and most importantly, thanks to the fans who came out and braved the elements to support live music. The best part of my job is being surrounded by such creative and interesting people. I sincerely appreciate the efforts of each and every one of you.”

As well as the many interviews he conducted, LB also did backstage photos of many of the artists and attendees. He’ll be posting several each day in the weeks following the show.

SONIC BOOM 2016

It was a triumphant return to Sonic Boom 2016 in Janesville, WI. The two day festival on October 1st and 2nd 2016 found LB interviewing and photographing a Who’s Who of hard rock including Disturbed, KoЯn, Avenged Sevenfold, Breaking Benjamin, Chevelle, Ghost Alter Bridge, Sevendust, Pop Evil, Trivium, Parkway Drive, Pierce the Veil, 3 Doors Down, Hellyeah, Motionless in White, Avatar, The Amity Affliction, Dope, Young Guns, Wayland, Skindred, Adelita’s Way, Nonpoint, Crobot, I Prevail, Devil to Drag, and Breech. Gratitude to WJJO for bringing LB in once again to host and hang. Thanks also to the rockers of Wisconsin for all the love!

BACK ON THE ROAD

It was back to the tour life for LB as he traveled the road with Slipknot, Lamb of God, Bullet for My Valentine, and Motionless in White for the final eight days of the Summer’s Last Stand Tour. Traveling onboard on of the band buses, he was given unfetterd access to photograph the groups both onstage and and off for the gigs Phoenix, Albuquerque, Austin, Houston, and the tour closer in Dallas. While in New Mexico, he also did an exclusive, in-depth interview with The Clown. Many thanks to the bands, crews, and fans for all of the love.

SUMMER’S LAST STAND

Brutus will once again hit the road with Slipknot, traveling with them for the final week of their “Summer’s Last Stand Tour” which also features Lamb of God, Bullet for My Valentine, and Motionless in White.

Lou will join up for the Saturday August 29th gig in Phoenix AZ, moving on from there to Albuquerque NM, Austin TX, Houston TX, and the final stop of the tour in Dallas TX.

During the traveling, Brutus has promised to bring his cameras so he can take and post photos city-to city.

SONIC BOOM

On September 13th 2014, Brutus was onstage to host the first ever Sonic Boom festival in Janesville WI. It featured performances from A Day to Remember, Bring Me the Horizon, Motionless in White, All That Remains, Devour the Day, Avatar, Nonpoint, Starset, and a ton of others.

As Lou hadn’t slept in a few days, he got a little weird and insisted on wearing a rubber horse head for much of the day, both onstage and backstage. Some of those images are below.

Thanks to Randy Hawke, Bonnie Oleson and the crew at WJJO in Madison WI for the love.
